63. IU <br />63.11. PENALTIES. <br />Subdivision 1. Misdemeanor. Any persons, firm, or <br />curporation which shall violate any provisions of this chapter <br />shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. The impuiiitiCn of one Penalty <br />for any violation shall not excuse the violation or permit it to <br />continuer and all such persons shall be required to correct or <br />remedy such violations or defects within a reasonable time; and <br />when not otherwise specified each ten days that prohibited con- <br />ditions are maintained shall constitute a separate offense. The <br />application of the above penalty shall not be held to prevent the <br />enforced removal of prohibited conditions. <br />Subdivision 2. orders Establishing Fire Lanes. The <br />Bureau of Fire Prevention is hereby authorized to order the <br />establishment of fire lanes on public or private property as may <br />be necessary in order that the travel of fire equipment may not <br />be interfered with, and that access to fire hydrants or buildings <br />may not be blocked off. When a fire lane has been offered to be <br />established, it shall be marked by a sign bearing the words 'No <br />Parking - Fire Lane' or a similar messaSe. When the fire lane is <br />on public property or a public right -of -Way, the sign or signs <br />srall be erected by the city, and when on private property, they <br />shall be erected by the owner at his own expense within 30 days <br />after he has b?en notified of the order. Thereafter, no person <br />shall park a vehicle or otherwise occupy or obstruct the fire <br />lane. (219) <br />63.12. REPEAL. The adoption of the codes and standards <br />referred to it this chapter shall not repeal or supersede any <br />ordinance= of Mounds View regulating the same subject smtter, but <br />the provisions r,f said codes and standards and of the ordinances <br />of the municipality shall all bl) applicable. In the event that <br />there is a conflict between the provisions of said codes and <br />standards and ordinances of Mounds View, the more restrictive <br />provision shall prevail, except when there is a conflict between <br />said codes and standards and the building code, then the provi- <br />;ione nr the buildinq code shall prevail.
