Th.. first memo is re.lardinq the proposed <br />annual fire inspection program. The second memo is regarding the <br />proposed housing inspections for multiple dwelling rental prop- <br />erty (otherwise know a, apartment. inspections). <br />1. FIRE INSPECTION PROGRAM <br />The buildings that fire inspections should be conducted on <br />can be classified into S grnupst <br />1. Rare and Liquor Establishments. There will be two inspec- <br />tions per year and the inspections will be completed in <br />the first week of ,tune an,I the third week of November. <br />' 2. Public Buildinee (except Cit Hall) School and Edge <br />C'timnunit�CFnter. There wtl be two inspect tons per y <br />for this group and they will he completed in the first <br />week of February and the first week of September. <br />3,Commercial end Industrial uses. Inspections for this <br />group wtll occur ooce per year and they will be completed <br />daring the second week of March. <br />4. Churches and City Nall. The fire inspections wi'l be <br />inn <br />conducted once per year and they will be cemplete.i dut <br />the third week o► February. <br />5. Multiple Dwelling Rental Proeerty. Fire inspections will <br />occur once per year and flu, tiro inspection will be <br />completed at tho same time as the housing inspections. <br />The fire inspucti;ri prn}ram for duplexes and fourplexes <br />will not include an inspection of the boiler room and <br />mechanical room The fire inspection of apartment build- <br />ings will include inspection of the boiler room and the <br />mechanical rtmia. For apartlxcnt buildings, we are propos- <br />inq to inspect 2S percent nt the apartments in each <br />huilding. <br />Staff has disCURRed the fire inspection pr.Niram with Fire <br />Chief ra(lorntrom. We will Ite sondinq a copy of this report <br />to him for his review. <br />
