<br />Subdivision 10. Other terms shall have the meaning
<br />ascribed to them in the Charter or other provisions of the
<br />Mounds View Municipal Code, where applicable or consistent.
<br />26.04 Improvement Council Powers.
<br />Subdivision 1. Improvements authorized. The City
<br />Council shall have power to make the following improvements:
<br />(1;
<br />.P. open, ar.d widen any street, and to
<br />improve the same by constructing, recons a uctiny',
<br />and maintaining sidewalks, pavement, gutters,
<br />curbs, and vehicle parking strips of any material,
<br />or by grading the same, including storm sewers or
<br />other street drains and connections from sewer,
<br />water or similar mains to curb lines.
<br />(2) To acquire, develop, construct, reconstruct, extend
<br />and maintain storm and sanitary sewers and systems,
<br />including outlets, holding areas and ponds,
<br />treatment plants, pumps, lift stations, service
<br />connections, and other appurtenances of a seder
<br />system, within and without the corporate limits.
<br />(3) To construct, reconstruct, extend and maintain
<br />steam heating mains.
<br />(4) To install, replace, extend and maintain
<br />streetlights and street lighting systems and
<br />special lighting systems.
<br />(5) To acquire, improve, construct, reconstruct, extend
<br />and maintain water works systems, including mains,
<br />valves, hydranta, service connectiors, wells,
<br />pumps, reserv(irs, tanks, treatment plants, and�hin
<br />other appurtehances o: a waxer works system,
<br />and withcut the corporate limits.
<br />(6) To acquire, Improve and equip parks, open epoce
<br />areas, playgrounds and .ecreacional facilitie$
<br />within and without the corporate limits.
<br />('rl To plant trees on s:ree'.s and to provide for their
<br />trimming, care and removal.
<br />(8) To abate nu,sances and to drair.swam.fill the
<br />hes and
<br />ponds on puhlic or private property and to
<br />same.
