ORDINANCE NO. 385 V ~ vu LI <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MIN:.ESOTA <br />PAL CODE <br />MOUNDS VIEW <br />ANAMEN AMENDING ORDINANCE CH CHAPTER ENTITLEDNG THE , I"FBY <br />"MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM" <br />The Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain: <br />SECTION I. Chapter 70.01, Subdivision 2, Paragraph (b) is <br />deleted. <br />SECTION 1I. Chapter 70.01, Subdivision 2, is amended by <br />adding the following: <br />(b) Whenever a new water connection is constructed, the <br />owner shall pay to the Municipality a trunk, source <br />and storage contribution of $200 per residential <br />zoned property or the larger of the following: <br />1) $800 per acre <br />2) $200 per 36,000 gallons of water used per <br />quarter. <br />_ The property owner shall provide a water usage <br />estimate for approval by the City Engineer. If the <br />gallons of water used during any quarter of the first <br />two (2) years of water usage exceeds the estimate <br />approved by the City Engineer, the fee will be <br />adjusted upward. The City shall not lower the fee if <br />the water usage is less than the estimate. Such <br />contributions shall be reserved solely for the <br />purpose of funding construction, replacement, <br />modification or major maintenance of water trunk <br />lines, wells, towers or reservoirs and the debt <br />service thereon as specifically authorized by the <br />City Council.
