r <br />M FMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCII, <br />I FROM: CLERK-ADMINISTRAT(ljl7 1 <br />DATE: NOVEMBER 21,1985 <br />SUBJECT: 1985/1986 GOALS <br />The following is as update of progress made in meeting the <br />goals establshed by the City Council this past. spring. <br />Attached to this memorandum you will find the summary of <br />these goals indicating their priority, the responslhl� <br />individual(s) or group(s) and completion/implementation <br />date. <br />The progress made in meeting these gi.dts LO date is as <br />follows: <br />A study of Districts 6 and 12 in the Comp. Plan to <br />resolve the current conflicts has been underway for <br />t:,e past several months with the final report being <br />held up until such time as a decision is handed down <br />by the Minnesota CourL ul Appeail uu the case of <br />Highway 10 Radiator. <br />2. As discussed at a recent agenda session, Staff is <br />beginning the process of developing a proposed <br />economic development program for the city and will <br />be meeting with the Council in the near tuture to <br />receive input as to what your expectations might be <br />with respect to this program. <br />1. As this is a City Council activity 1 am not prepared <br />to make comment on its current level of progress. <br />4. BaseJ on recent Council direction to the Finance <br />Director Priority 14 will be combined with Priority <br />12, i.e. economic development program as you <br />indicated that it was your intention that the <br />revenue development plan be part of an economic <br />development program. <br />5. A report from Public Works/Community Development <br />Director Thatcher and Finance Director Brayer will <br />be presented to you in the near future regarding a <br />storm water management plan. <br />6. A task force has been appointed by the City Council <br />and is currently meeting with an anticipated <br />completion date of no later than December 16, 1985. <br />7. Funding was included in the 1986 hudget for <br />weatherization of certain portions of the City Hall <br />and this work will be accomplished during the winter <br />months of early 1986 by City Staff Members. <br />
