MAYOR AND CITY CODNCII.
N11Vt.Mht.R 13, :98S
PAt,t. TWO
8. An enthusiastic effnrt has been made by the Parks
and Recreation Department and Parks and Recreation
Commission to increase our efforts in the area of
park development as described in the memorandum from
Parks and Recreation Director Anderson dated
Novombvr 8, 148'1, ropy .111.,,'hvd.
9. Efforts are currently underway to persuade the
County to accelerate their plans to reconstruct
County Road f from T.H. 10 to Interstate 35W.
10. As outlined in a recent Administrative Newsletter,
Staff will be attending demonstrations of the
three systems currently still in the running for the
City's new computer system.
11. As evidenced by the 1986 budget, efforts are heing
made to ensure that the level of maintenance
programs in the Park and Recreation areas are not
decreased.
12. Public Works/Community Development Director Thatcher
has advised that a feasibility report will be
subm'tted to the City Council in January regarding
the Pxnancinn of the oublic works garane.
13. The funding of a full-time accounting clerk was
included in the 1986 budget, however, due to the
present uncertainty of State aid; due to their
revenue crisis, any action on this item is being
delayed until we can be more certain cf the revenue
picture.
14. As this item is scheduled for 1986/87 and does not
appear to be of a critical natute at this point as
compared to an economic development, nu plan has
been instituted with respect to the development of a
plan for residential redevelopment.
15. Finance Director Brager has indicated that it is his
intention to establish an equipment replacement
program as part of the 1986 Long Perm Financial
Plan.
16. Parks and Recreation Director Anderson has indicated
that no specific direction has been taken at this
time on a Youth Center.
17. Finance Director Brager has indicated that it is his
intention to begin the implementation of a Fixed
Assets Study in 1987, however, the hiring of a full-
time accounting clerk will be necessary in order to
begin that work and this study could be delayed
should such hiring not occur in 1986.
