SPEC[FICATIONS FOR ONE WARNING SIRh.N, <br />CONTROLS AND COMPLETE INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL AND <br />RF.L1x7AT[ON OF TWO WARNING SIRENS AND CON'I'kOLS <br />SECTION ONE <br />1. The v.rndnr chill romove and reloratr two 111) db. <br />warning sirens. Relocation to include sirens, all <br />auxiliary equipment, poles, grounding devices, and <br />necessary adjustments and changes to power and land <br />ling r,quirements. <br />II. The vendor shall turnish a 124-126 Ub. siren and siren <br />components required for the operation of the siren. <br />The siren furnished must be a two -Lone, two-siynal, <br />air warning siren with an output of at least 124-126 <br />decibels at 100 feet. The siren will be a 120/240 <br />volt, three phase, or equivalent. The siren must meet <br />specitications of air-warntny siren. approved by it.,, <br />United States Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br />The siren shall be mounted on a single class one <br />(wooden) pole treated with Ch4monite, or equivalent <br />pres,'rvative, and provided in a gray finish i! <br />I possible. The pole shall be of sufficient height to <br />clear surrounding obstacles and to accomodate the <br />124-126 decibel output at 100 feet, as required <br />above. In no event will the pole be less than sixty <br />(6U) feet in length. All related control components <br />required for the operation of the siren shall be <br />mounted internal to the building structure as <br />described in Section Two. <br />III. T,ie contractor shall furnish and/or arrange for labor <br />and materials required for the complete installation <br />and operation of the siren, all electrical and tele- <br />phonic co;;trol circuitry for leared land line activa- <br />tion of the alert and attack waning tones over the <br />metro warning system. bids shall ,nelude Northwestern <br />Bell Telephone and Northern States Power charges in <br />connection with such installation. <br />SECTION TWO <br />The sirens will be installed at the following locations; <br />I. Siren 11 shall be moved from its pi -,sent location <br />at the intersection of County Road I and Spring Lake <br />Road to a location approximately 100' north of the <br />southwest corner of Groveland Park. Fi;ul location of <br />' pole to be determined by City in consultation with <br />vendor. Electrtcal and telephone service shall be <br />underground. <br />
