Jim is <br />familiar with your operation through his recent partieination in <br />the computer feasibility study. I will continue in a review <br />capacity. <br />The involvement ul City personnel is very important during <br />this project. Your people will he running the computer once it <br />is installed; they will he better prepared to nnerate the <br />computer if they are actively rnvnlved in the implementation <br />activities. This level of invnivemrut will help ensure the <br />success of the installation. <br />SCHEDULE AND FEES <br />We are prepared to continue the protect immediately upon <br />receiving your apprnval to proceed. Our first step will he to <br />complete negotiation of a suitable contract with the vendor <br />selected. <br />We estimate the engagement will continue over a six to tan <br />month period. We will he available to you fnr the snecjfic tasks <br />identilied in this In ter and on an as needed basis for project <br />monitoring and problem resnlntlnn. <br />Our fr.•s for this engagement will he based on actual hours <br />worked plus out-of-pocket expenses. Recause of the nature of the <br />work to be done, it is difficult to estimate the extent of our <br />involvement. The hours worked will depend on the involvement of <br />your staff and the problems which arise durinr the implementa- <br />tion, lie will hill you monthly for actual time and expenses <br />iaeurred so that you will he able to control the expenditure. In <br />any event, we h,.vv estimated that nor fees and rxnen.es will not <br />exceed $11,000 for this work. We will not exceed this amount <br />without your approval. <br />
