Mounds View City Council UNAPPBOVIED... <br />anuary 27, l <br />Regular Meeting Six <br />--- ------------------------------------------------------------------ <br />Attorney Meyers_ reported an order had come down <br />from the Minnesota Suprume Court, denying a discre- <br />tionary review of the Gregory Johnson case. He added <br />that it is anticipated that many cities will cite the <br />Mounds View case in the future in their proceedings. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he would be absent from the <br />next Council meeting, and Mark Karney will be attending <br />in his place. <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. 1 Reports or <br />Councilmemt <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Councilmember Haake reported she had attended part <br />of the Festivities Commission meeting earlier in the <br />evening, aea they o,s ,...a.-c=_a9 in mnuino the date <br />of the annual appreciation dinner to the Saturday <br />night of the Festival in the park, which will be <br />July 19 and 20 this year. <br />Alice Frits stated the Festivities Commission feels <br />it would be a better way to tie the two day festival <br />together. <br />it was agreed that the Council would discuss the <br />issue further at the next Council agenda session, I <br />and Councilmember Haake would get back to the <br />Festivities Commission after that. <br />Councilmember Hankner had no report. <br />Mayor Linke dad no report. <br />Clerk/Administrator Parley passed out information 16. Rep)rt of <br />regarding the Anoka Chamter of Commerce treakfast Clerk/Admini:tr,t <br />on January 29, at which Governor Perpich will be <br />the guest speaker. He added he would make reser- <br />vations for those Councilmembers planning on <br />attending. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed an Action <br />Alert he had just received regarding the Governor's <br />proposed budget cuts, and the impact they could <br />have on Mounds View. Ile added Staff will be watching <br />things closely. <br />Motion/Second: Haake/Blanchard to adjourn the 17.
