Mounds View City Council January 27, 1 <br />Regular Meeting <br />-- ----------------------------'age Six <br />- <br />Attorney Meyers repurtL,.l an order had come down <br />from the Minnesota Supreme Court, denying a discre- <br />tionary review of the t:regory Johnson case. He added <br />that it is anticipated that many cities will cite the <br />Mounds View case in thL future in their proceedings. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he would be absent from the <br />next Council meeting, .,nd Mark Karney will be attending <br />in his place. <br />Councilmember Blancharu had no report. <br />15. Report of <br />Councilmeml <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Councilmember Haake reported she had attended part <br />of the Festivities Commission meeting earlier in the <br />evening, and they are interested in moving the date <br />of the annual appreciation dinner to the Saturday <br />night of the Festival in the Park, which will be <br />July 19 and 20 this ye„i. <br />Alice Frits stated the festivities Commission feels <br />it would be a better way to tie the two day festival <br />together. <br />It was agreed that the council would discuss the <br />issue further at the n.\,t Council agenda session, <br />and Councilmember Haakc would get back to the <br />Festivities Commission after that. <br />Councilmember Hankner had no report <br />M4yor Linke had no report. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley passed out information 16. Report of <br />regarding the Anoka Chamber of Commerce breakfast Clerk/Admir.i tr <br />on January 29, aL which Governor Perpich will be <br />the guest speaker.
