The ditches that cannot be cleaned <br />because of egnipment limitations could be cleaned by <br />hiring an excavator with iperaLor. All the ditches <br />can be cleaned by City staff with the help of an <br />excavator. The City's purchasing pol.cy will be <br />ft, llowed. staff wil! work with the excavator to <br />insure, that the ditches are cleaned adequately. The <br />excavator (and bulldozer if needed) can clear and <br />grub trees and brush as necessary. Ditches 111, 2, <br />3, 4, 6 and 8 flow through wetland.; and are more <br />easily cleaned in the winter. The estimated cost <br />includes hiring temporary employees. The number of <br />temporary employees hired (2 or 3 persons) will <br />depend on which ditch is beinq cleaned. <br />The cost for this alternative is estimated to be 50t <br />of the cost of Alternative #I.
