-9- <br />The Contractor shall provide sufficient personnel <br />and equipment to complete within one day the <br />collection of all garbage and combustible and non- <br />combustible rubbish put out for collection in any <br />established collection district within the City on <br />any given collection day. <br />(b) Containers <br />All garbage shall be deposited for collection by <br />property owners and tenants in rust -resistant, <br />water -tight, nonabsorbent and easily washable <br />containers which are equipped with a hail or handles <br />and covered with close -fitting lids, and shall not <br />exceed thirty-two (32) gallons in capacity. Plastic <br />bags may be used. Containers shall be furnished by <br />the customers. <br />(c) Vehicles <br />All trucks, trailers and other conveyances or <br />equipment used to collect, haul, or transport <br />garbage or rubbish shall at all times be kept clean, <br />in gnod repair, and well -painted, to the satisfac- <br />tion of the Clerk -Administrator or his authorized <br />representative. <br />All garbage shall be transported or conveyed by <br />means of vehicles equipped with watertight bodies <br />fitted with metal covers so that the transportation <br />or conveyance of garbage shall not constitute a <br />nuisance. <br />Garbage shall be conveyed so that none shall leak, <br />drop or spill. Should any garbage be dropped or <br />spilled in co' _lecting or transporting, it shall be <br />immediately cleared up. A broom and shovel shall be <br />carried on each truck at all times for this purpose. <br />Each truck shall be constructed and used so that <br />rubbish or garbage will not blow, fall or leak out <br />of the truck into the street. The Cortractor shall <br />use mechanical pac:.er trucks so constructed. <br />The Contractor's name or firm name, together with <br />his phone number, shall be printed or painted in <br />legible letters, not less than five (5) inches in <br />height, on both sides and rear or dll trucks and <br />conveyances used in the City in performance of the <br />contract. <br />Should the Clerk -Administrator, or his authorized <br />representative, give notification in writing to the <br />Contractur that any designated truck, trailer or <br />other conveyance is not in compliance with the <br />Clerk -Administrator's standards hereunder, such <br />conveyance shall be forthwith removed from service <br />by the Contractor and not again so used hereunder <br />until inspected and approved in writing by the <br />Clerk -Administrator or his authorized representative <br />
