-10- <br />(c) Vehicles (continued) <br />All vehicles and equipment used in the collection of <br />garbage under these specifications shall be kept in <br />clean, sanitary quarters when not in use in <br />collection of garbage. <br />(d) Care of Containers <br />All containers shall be replaced where found. <br />Containers and lids shall not be placed or thrown on <br />the streets, highways or on adjoining property. <br />The Contractor, his agents, or employees shall not <br />throw garbage or rubbish containers from the truck <br />to the pavement, or in any other way break or damage <br />or roughly handle the same. The City reserves the <br />right to withhold compensation under the contract <br />until any claim or damage for broken garbage or <br />rubbish containers has been paid for or adjusted <br />with the owner of such container. <br />All claims for damaqe by reason of the misuse or <br />rough handling of such containers by the Contractor . <br />shall be presented to the Contractor and a copy <br />th3reef fil?d with the Clerk -Administrator. <br />(a) Route and Changes <br />The Contractor shall prepare and file with the <br />Clerk -Administrator, prior to the commcncement of <br />this contract, a collection schedule together with a <br />complete map in triplicate of the several garbage <br />and ribSish collection districts within the City. <br />He shall indicate thereon in an appropriate and <br />easily understandable manner the days on which <br />collection should be made throughout there <br />districts. This schedule shall be subject to the <br />approval of the Clerk -Administrator. <br />The collection schedule, when appr^wed by the Clerk - <br />Administrator, shall be maintained unless a change <br />therein is first approved by the Clerk -Administrator <br />and notice the:eof given as hereinafter provided. <br />The Contractor shall, at his own expense, by written <br />notice with postage prepaid and forwarded through <br />the United States mail, notify the occupant of each <br />single, two, four and six family dwelling unit <br />within the several collection districts of the day <br />or days of the week on which garbage or rubbish <br />shall be collected. <br />
