Mnnods v+ew city Council e t , March 24, 1986 <br />Regular Meeting V i r►� j 1 j a e y Page Two <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley explained there are four <br />non -union officers, the chief, lieutenant and two <br />sergant3. He added that the union contract calls for <br />a casn payment at the beginning of the year, and the <br />cost of the uniforms usually exceeds the allowance. <br />The plain clothes officers have to purchase non- <br />uniform articles, such as gun belts and so forth, <br />and recommended they be reimbursed on a voucher basis. <br />Motion/Seced: Quick/Hankner to approve Resolution <br />No. 1990, establishing a uniform allowance for non- <br />union police officers, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor i,inke closed the regular meeting and opened <br />B. Public Hearing: <br />OT <br />the public hearing at 7:09 PM. <br />Zoning of <br />Land at Cnty. ty. Rd. <br />Director Thatcher reviewed the plans for the RTC <br />H and T.H. 10 <br />park and ride facility at County Road H and T.H. 10. <br />He explained the land does not have a zoning <br />designation at this time, and the Planning Commission <br />has reviewed it and determined the proper zoning <br />would be a public facilities district. Director <br />Thatcher read a letter the City had received from <br />' <br />MnDOT today, recommending a commercial use of the <br />property. <br />Mayor Linke stated he was concerned with the existing <br />mature trees on the site and hopes they can be <br />preserved. <br />Conncilmember Haake stated sna would like to see <br />the area remain as open as possible. <br />Cornciimember Blanchard stated the feelings of the <br />Planning Commission were that this should be a <br />public facility, to allow people access to Rice <br />Creek. <br />Mayor Linke dosed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 7:16 PM. <br />Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting and opened 9. Public Hearing: <br />the next public hearing at 7:16 PM. Suspension and/or <br />Revocation of <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the situation Simon's Liquor <br />of Simon's Liquors selling alcohol after hours and On -Sale Liquor <br />to underage individuals. He stated Police chief License <br />Ramacher has met with Mr. Simon and advised him of <br />the situation. He added that the employee involved <br />in the violations is still employed there, and Mr. <br />Simon is aware of the seriousness of the situation. <br />
