March 25, 1980 Page 2 1 The one major issue that is yet to be resolved in regards to the site develop- ment of Silver View centers around the final configuration of the pond. The r developer has stated that he is willing to develop the pond to a 2 - 3' level at a cost not to exceed $250,000. Staff is recommending that an additional 48,000 cubic yards of fill be removed at the developers expense. As this is a fairly complex issue staff will be presenting a verbal report with sup- porting visual material to better define the issues at hand on Thursday. The second consideration involved in the planning process to date is L.A.W.C.O.N. applications for phase 2 development are due on May 2. The impact of this issue centers around the fact that the City will be in a better position to be funded if the issue of park re -location were. finalized prior to final review which is scheduled for the first week in June. As a final note it should be remembered that construction of the pond would not commence until the winter of 1981 at the earliest which means general construc- tion of the park site will be delayed until Spring, 1981.
