Dear Park and Recreation Commissioners: <br />Enclosed is a copy of the preliminary goals and policies that <br />have been drafted by the City Planning Commission. The Planning <br />Commission is soliciting input from each of the Commissioners <br />as well as City staff inembers. <br />The Planning Commission would like to have comments and/or ourcritiqueassoonasYossibleastheyareschedulingtheir <br />approved draft during the last week in June. I would recommend <br />that you concentrate your efforts on the "Community Facilities" <br />chapter as that relates most directly to Park and Recreation. <br />In addition, staff would like to schedule a speciai work session <br />for Tuesday, June 17, 1980, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall <br />Council Chambers. The purpose of the mPeting is twofold: <br />1. Review the final park master plans with Mr. Gary Tushie. <br />2. To discuas the enclosed goals and policies plan <br />update. <br />As I mentioned, I have invited Gary Tushie ta review the £inal <br />park master plans and I will also be inviting a repreaentativefromtheFlanningCommissiontokeeptheCommissioninfosmed <br />of their progress to date. <br />If you are unable to attend the meetiag or would like additionalinformation, feel free to give me a call at 784-3055, Ext. 41. <br />Sincerely, <br />Hruce K.
