PARK AND RECREATION EXPERIENCE <br />NAME: Brushy Creek State Recreation Area <br />LOCATION/SIZE: Webster County, Iowa <br />4,000 Acres <br />(1,000 acre lake) <br />CLIENT: Iowa Conservation Commission <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES: Working as a member of a consulting team with <br />Associated Engineers, services included review and analysis of <br />state and local data, site analysis, demand/use analysis, concept <br />alternatives, leading to a project master plan. Implementation <br />recommendations included phases of development, cost estimates, <br />administration and management procedures. <br />SPECIAL FEATURES: Local area participation was encouraged through a <br />series of public meetings and presentations. An area for handi- <br />capped and special education facilities was recommended. Several <br />design concepts were developed to study the relationship of <br />active/passive and conservation use areas. <br />FEE: $10,000 <br />
