PARK AND RECREATION EXPERIENCE <br />NAME: Minnesota Agricultural Interpretive Center <br />LOCATION/SIZE: Waseca, MN <br />360 Acres <br />CLIENT: Board of Directors, MAIC <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES: Services included preparation of a Master Plan in- <br />cluding detailed cost estimates and construction phasing. Also, <br />a Feasibility Analysis and estimates of revenue and operating <br />expenses were provided. RCM has been retained to assist with <br />fund raising and promotional materials and to proceed with documents <br />for Phase I construction. <br />SPECIAL FEATURES: The Master Plan concept was developed with the partici- <br />pation of a statewide advisory committee. The plan preserves the <br />land surface for establishing forms representative of various <br />time periods for a series of underground educational, interpretive <br />corridors linking the period farm. The Visitor Center building is <br />to be an earth sheltered, energy conscientious structure for <br />agriculturally related seminars and meetings. The Agricenter will <br />tell the story of Minnesota agriculture and its people: past, present, <br />and future. <br />FEE: Master Plan $20,000 <br />
