STATE'.dENT oF LimiEnSTANDING
We are confident that. we can take the lead in the
development of a significant park environment to
enmplement the image and sense of place Mounds View
has created for itself. We feel that the landscape
architectural, urban design, architectural, and
graphics disciplines within Design Consortium can play
a valuable role with respect to the preparation of an
exciting and workable open space within an established
comprehensive parks system.
Working Relationship The approach we suggest will provide a vehicle and
methodology for participation by the city and local
community representatives in the decision making process
related to design controls. Working closely with a
Design Consortium principal, the City, Community and
commission will be able to offer helpful input and
guidance. This will result in the development of a
sensitive, functional, and feasible product. Design
Consortium's primary role will be to prepare a flexible
design within which design -related decisions can be
made and by which an assessment of future development
can occur. .
The principals within Design Consortium function as a
multi -disciplinary group with proven experience in
achieving high quality work with citizen groups,
private businesses, public agencies and institutions.
Development of Silver View Park will require a compre-
hensive design framework which is the sum of its parts.,
There are a variety of considerations to be addressed.
It is imperitive that any future development reflect
a familiarity with aesthetic and technical requirements
and that any construction meet established objectives.
..
