,dvwl. <br />MEMO 1u: Clerk -Administrator and City Councilyy�,/��,/'',,��-( <br />FROM: Director of Public Works/Community Developmeen / <br />DATE: April 30, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: GALE/YOST ADDITION <br />As you may recall, the City Council passed Resolution No. 1980 <br />assessing the cost of p-eparing plans and specifications for <br />Public Improvement Project No. 84-85 (Gale/Yost Addition) on <br />April 14, 1906. <br />City staff prepared this assessment resolution with the help of <br />Ramsey County. After the resolution was passed anJ signed, City <br />staff submitted the assessment resolution to Ramsey County. <br />Ginny Mars of Ramsey County called me and said that they were nct <br />satisfied with the wording of the second to the last paragraph <br />(Attachment I1 is Resolution No. 1980). They recommend that the <br />second to the last paragraph read as follows: <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the assessments for the hene- <br />fitted parcels may be made in cash without interest, if <br />paid within thirty (30) days of the adoption of this <br />resolution, or may be paid in two equal, annual install- <br />ments in the same time and manner as the payment of real- <br />estate taxes with interest at the rate of it percent per <br />annum from June 24, 1986, to December 31 of the year in <br />which the first payment is payable to be added to each <br />subsequent installment. <br />RECOMMENDATION: I recommend that the City pass a resolution <br />Waking the corrections in Resolution No. 1980 suggested by Ramsey <br />County. <br />SWI/bac <br />
