Reports of <br />the May 7, 1986 Fire Department activity report <br />Councilmembers: <br />and questioned the follow-up violation ticket <br />that was issued and questioned who was responsible <br />Councilmember <br />for the inspections. <br />Blanchard <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley explained the City is <br />aware of this particular problem, that the owner <br />is in the process of changing alarm systems, <br />which necessitates having the old alarm out of <br />commission for a shurL time before the new one is <br />operational. He added that they are meeting with <br />Chief Fagerstrom to resolve the problems. <br />Councilmember Blanchard questioned how the fire <br />inspection and housing inspection program is <br />going. <br />Director Thatcher replied the housing inspections <br />were stopped because the typing could not be done. <br />He stated he has asked Inspector Rose for the report <br />on fire inspections and will ask him for it again, <br />and he assured Councilmember Blanchard she would <br />have the report by the next week's meeting if he <br />had to personnally do it himself. <br />Councilmember Quick reported he had attended the <br />Councilmember <br />Park and Rec Commission meeting on May 22, which <br />Quick <br />was attended by a croup of residents trom the Silver <br />View Park area and they discussed encroachments on <br />the park property. Fe added it was a very lively <br />meetinq, and the Park and Rec Commission is putting <br />together a policy regarding encroachments. <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated she would like earlier <br />notification if such meetings, as she would have been <br />interested iu attending, but did not stop by to pick <br />up from her box until the weekend, after the meeting <br />had already been held. <br />Councilmember Quick requested that the expenses on <br />the Gale/Yost walkway, and the issue of fire hydrants <br />and panel truck fcr flooding the ice rinks, be placed <br />on the next agenda fur discussion. <br />Councilmember Haake reported the Festivities Commission <br />Councilmember <br />has projected expenses of approximately $4,300 for <br />Haake <br />tr.:.. "..A. c e.:..,r vcth anticirated revenues of <br />$850, not including concessions and rides. She added <br />it is anticipated the City will once again help with <br />the funding. <br />Councilmember Haake reported the Festivities Commission <br />would like each councilmember to sign up for a two hour <br />time slot to help as needed, during the Festival in <br />the Park. <br />
