Roll Call <br />Haake, Hankner and Mayor Linke. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Clerk/Administrator Pauley and <br />Public NoiksiCommunity Development Director <br />Thatcher. <br />4otion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to annrnve the May 1. ",,proval of <br />2, 1986 minutes as presented. Minutes: <br />5 ayes 0 nays May 12, 1986 <br />Motion Carried <br />City Forester Rick Wriskey made a presentation of 5. presentation of <br />the Tree City USA flag to the Mayor and Council, Tree City USA <br />stating that Mounds View has again received national Award <br />recognition with this award, and they were one of <br />35 cities in Minnesota to receive it. <br />There were no residents requests or comments from <br />the floor. <br />Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting and opened <br />the public hearing at 7:05 PM. <br />Rita Docken, Energy Coordinator, explained the City <br />is considering changing their open system of garbage <br />hauling to contractual hauling. She reviewed the <br />dvantages of organized collection, and explained <br />the solid waste abatement levels the City will be <br />requited to reach by 1990, versus where they are <br />at today. <br />6.
