MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCI <br />FROM: CLERK-ADMINISTRATO <br />DATE: AUGUST 18, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: OUTDOOR {YARNING SIRL•N CONVERSION PROJECT <br />As you are all aware, during the past year the Civil Defense <br />Directors of Ramsey County have been meeting to prepare <br />plans and specifications and obtain bids for the <br />installation of a County -wide radio activation system for <br />the County's outddor warning siren system. <br />ALtached to this memorandum please find a memorandum from <br />Ramsey County Emergency Services Director Bill Centers <br />outlining the results of our bid process and the costs for <br />the conversion of the County -wide system. Based on the <br />information provided in Mr. Center's letter, the City of <br />Mounds View will be responsible for a total cost of $6,732 <br />which is $13,268 less Lean the amount of monies contained in <br />the City's 1986 budget for these purposes. It should be <br />pointed out, however, that the City in their 1986 buaget <br />proposed to borrow the majority of these funds from the <br />City's other fund accounts due to the lack of readily <br />available cash to pay for such an activity.
