IV. PURPOSE <br />The purpose of this report is as follows: <br />1) Secure approval from R.C.W.D. to repair the <br />ditch to its original cross-section and grade. <br />(Application attached). <br />2) Secure Funding from R.C.W.D. to pay for a portion <br />of the ditch repair (Attachment V). <br />V. PROPOSED SOLUTION <br />The City of Mounds View proposes to repair Branch #5 <br />of Judicial Ditch #1 to its original cross section and grade <br />as a City project. The City will be responsible for Engineering, <br />Bidding and inspecting the project. <br />Vm.+ <br />VI. BENEFITS OF REPAIR <br />Repairing the ditch to its original cross section and grade <br />will reduce the possibility of damages to property and injuries <br />to people. The repair will reduce tht chances of a lawsuit <br />claiming damages from R.C.W.D. as a result of Inck of maintenance. <br />Repairing the ditch will improve the safety of the ditch. <br />VII. DOWN STREAM IMPACTS <br />Returning the ditch to its original cross section and grade <br />will have no additional impact to property down stream than the <br />impact the original ditch had. <br />
