CROSS SECTION AND PROFILE <br />CITY PROJECT NO. 86-6 <br />Dear Mr. Cardinal: <br />We propose repairing Branch No. 5 of Judicial Ditch No. 1 to its <br />original cross section and profile as a City project (Attachment <br />No. 1). The repair work is needed because the ditch has filled in <br />such that storm sewer outlets do not drain and road culverts are <br />below the bottom of the ditch. If the ditch is not cleaned, <br />property damage may occur. <br />Under separate cover, i am-lbmitting plan sheets 14, 32, 33, and <br />'34 of 43 for this ditch preuared by Comstock and Davis, Inc. in <br />May, 1964. The proposed p1 ject will repair the ditch to its <br />original cross section and profile. Excess excavation will be <br />disposed of at an approved fill site. <br />The estimated construction cost of this project is $60,000. The <br />City of Mounds View can budget a maximum of $30,000 for this <br />project. The City does not want to utilize the petitioning <br />process or assess this project. <br />Is it appropriate to ask Rice Creek Watershed District to fund a <br />portion of this project?
