I <br />Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />------------------------- <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Quick to cancel the revenue <br />sharing budget hearing. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Hankner asked that Item H be removed for <br />discussion. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to apar�••^_ the consent <br />agenda, minus Item 11, and waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />5 aves 0 nays <br />Councilmember Hankner clarified that the judges being <br />appointed in Item H were for the primary election <br />only, and judges will be appointed again for the <br />general election. <br />Alice Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, stated she would like <br />to see each election judge sign an affidavit stating <br />which political party they belong to. <br />Councilmember Hankner stated she had checked into <br />State statutes and determined that the Council can <br />establish additional qualifications for election <br />judges, and suggested they take it under consideration <br />for the general election. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Quick to put the discussion of <br />additional qualifications for election judges on the <br />next agenda. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Blanchard to approve Resolution <br />Ho. 2071, ratifying the appointment of election judges <br />foL the State primary election, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting at 7:12 PM and <br />opened the public heating for the 1987 general fund, <br />forestry fund, water and sewer fund budgets. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the budget process <br />to date.
