Refnre such fund can he used to wake a ditch repair, an affected runicipalitY shall be notified in wri.tine about. the proposed work and the estimated cost thereof. The menicioality may thereafter notify the district in writinr that it will perform the work so ordered and be paid the cost thereof by tha- district.
