Thatcher, Director of Public Works/Community <br />Development <br />We are pleased to submit this letter proposal for surveying and <br />engineering services on this project. This proposal has been <br />prepared based c- our meeting of October 16th and our subsequent <br />conversations. <br />i GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK <br />Our understanding is that the work encompasses surveying and <br />engineering services necessary to bid a grading contract. The <br />contract would include cleaning and restoring Judicial Ditch <br />Number 1, Branch Number 5 from the junction east of Sherwood Road <br />southwesterly across Lois Drive to the existing storm sewer <br />outlet west of the Edgewood Drive right of way. The work would <br />also include a short extension to the southeast to the storm <br />water holding pond constructed north of County Road I and east of <br />Edgewood Drive. <br />We ul,derstand that the intent is to have the ditch restored to <br />its original profile and cross section. No design computations <br />would be made relative to necessary storm water capacity or <br />impact on downstream properties. <br />The alignment of the ditch is presumed to be contained in <br />easement documents or court orders. Our estimated fee includes <br />the time necessary to obtain and research any recorded easement <br />documents. Ile have not included time necessary to locate and <br />research court orders establishing alignment of the judicial <br />ditch, as those orders may not be available. Substa:)tial funds <br />could be expended searching for a document which doea not exist. <br />I Where documents are not available, we will field establish the <br />alignment to best fit the existing ditch location.
