City of Mounds View
October 21, 1986
Page 2
Based on copies of correspondence you have provided, it appears
that the Rice Creek Watershed District permit will be issued upon
completion of these plans. We have not, therefore, included any
time to pursue watershed district or other permits.
DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK
We propose the following detailed scope of work:
1. Research easement description south of Lois Drive.
2. Review court order establishing judicial ditch north of
Lois Drive as supplied by City, or field locate
existing ditch.
3. Establish base line parallel to ditch.
4. Cross section the ditch every 100 feet and at angle
points, cross sections to be 50 fast wide centered on
the ditch description.
5. Use PACSOFT computer program to generate cross sections
of existing and proposed ditch.
6. Use PACSOFT program to compute the earthwork necessary
to restore the ditch to the original grade and cross
section.
7. Draw the plan and profile showing existing conditions
and proposed construction.
8. Review the preliminary plans with Steve Thatcher and
the Watershed District Engineer.
9. Prepare the final construction plans including the
specifications, sediment and erosion control plan,
disposal plan for surplus material, specifications and
bidding documents.
10. Assist with bidding and award process.
We have proposed to use computer aided design. This will allow
you to consider additional design options, if you so choose, at
little additional cost.
