4. Relationship of Proposed Project to Funding Criteria The proposed project directly relate to Funding Criteria Appendix G. in that the update of the City's �+ Comprehensive Plan will be the framework for the modification of the City's other land use or development control and any update will require it be consistent with the policies set forth in the Metropolitan Development Guide. Assistance is being requested of the Metropolitan Council due to the City's inability to finance this project on a short-term basis. 5. Work Program The Mounds View City Council and Planning Commission are currently in the process of working out the details of a work program with a qualified planning professional who has been selected to assist the City with this project. The basic framework, for the project is as follows: Establish Goals and Objectives Resident survey to determine the community's desires. . Update Comprehensive Plan Update Zoning Code and Subdivision Regulations The City has committed to funding this project in the amount of $20,000 spread out over a 4 year period �. commencing in 1986. Completion Date Due to the fact that a final work program has not been established, no completion date has been set, however, it is anticipated that the entire process would take no more than 18 months. 7. Other Financial Assistance The City has committed to funding this project at the level of $5,000 per year for 4 years. No other direct funding is available, however, significant committment of staff time and City equipment and facilities has also been made to ensure the successful completion of the projecc.
