RESOLUTION NO. 2127 <br />r <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND APPRECIATION TO <br />JACK CHAMBERS <br />WHEREAS, in the early morning hours of April 6, 1986, <br />the Mounds View Police Department began investigating the <br />homicide death of Tammi Jo Shappell; and <br />WHEREAS, as Investigator Jack Chambers was assigned <br />as the primary investigator to the Shappell homicides and <br />WHEREAS, Investigator Jack Chambers professionally <br />and conscientiously investigated the case -- compiling <br />reports and evidence and submitting same to the Ramsey <br />County Attorney; and <br />WHEREAS, as a result of Investigator Chambers' <br />investigation a suspect was apprehended and subsequently <br />charged with 1st Degree Murder; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 22, 1986 the suspect pled guilty <br />to 1st Degree Flurder bringing about a successful prosecution <br />to the case; and <br />WHEREAS, Investigator Chambers spent many hours above <br />and beyond the call of duty dealing with family members and <br />other parties during emotional issues. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View on behalf of the residents of the <br />City commends Investigator Jack Chambers for his outstanding <br />professionalism and dedication to duty and offers its <br />heartfelt appreciation. <br />Adopted this 24th day of November, 1986. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mayor Linke <br />Councilmember Blanchard Councilmember Haake <br />Councilmember Hankner Councilmember Quick <br />Clerk -Administrator Pauley <br />
