MEMO TO: Mounds view City Council <br />FROM: Mary Baarion, Acting Director ,I� <br />f Parks, Recreation and Forestry IM,_ <br />DATE: November 20, 1986 <br />RE: 1967 City Newsletter Bid Opening <br />Bid proposals and specifications were sent to aprpoXimately 24 <br />perspective bidders. The bid opening was held Thursday, November 20 <br />at 10:30 a.m. at City Hall. Six companies submitted proposals. The <br />bid proposals ranged from a low bid of $50.50 per page to a high of <br />$82.57 per page. This reflects an annual cost ranging froin $8,888.00 <br />to $14,532.00. <br />It is recommended that the low bid of $50.50 per page or 08,888.00 be <br />awarded to Advanced Printing. Advanced Printing served as the <br />newsletter printer for the City of Mounds View in 1985 and 1986. <br />Staff has been very pleased with the quality and promptness of their <br />work. The cooperation and service dedication of this company has <br />been excellent. Staff feels confident that such a great working <br />relationsip will continue in 1987. <br />If you have any questions regarding this recommendation, please call <br />me at 784-3055, ext. 520. <br />RECOMMENDATION: To Authorize staff to enter into a formal contract <br />agreement with Advanced Printing at the rate of $50.50 per page or <br />total printing cost of $8,886.00 for the printing of the 1987 Mounds <br />view City Newsletter with funds to come from the City's general <br />fund. <br />Ms/sl <br />L. <br />
