She added the Council is <br />working on looking to the f�cure to make sure <br />today's purchase meet tomorrow's needs. <br />Mr. Gresher asked if the Council would award the <br />bid if only one bid was received. <br />Councilmember Hankner replied they would send it <br />out again if only one bid was received. <br />fir. Gresher stated he would not have bid if he had <br />known his low bid would be turned down. <br />Mayor Linke explained they are not talking that <br />much difference, and look at the cost, as well as <br />what the users feel. He added he feels a judgement <br />can be made on a piece of equipment in 15 minutes. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Wuori to authorize the <br />purchase of a front end loader and snow plow <br />equipment and award the bid to Ziegler Inc. for <br />a Caterpillar 936F, in the amount of $99,086.00. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Clerk/Administrator <br />Pauley reviewed <br />the bids re- <br />18. Consideration of <br />ceived for the dump <br />truck and snow <br />equipment and <br />Bids for Purchase <br />the recommendations <br />of Staff. <br />of Dump Truck and <br />Snow Plow <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard <br />to <br />approve the <br />Equipment <br />bid of Lakeland Ford <br />for the dump truck <br />in the <br />amount of $40,493.59 <br />and the bid of <br />Midland <br />Equipment for the snow <br />equipment in <br />the amount of <br />$18,055.00. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed Ordinance No. 19. Second Reading <br />449. He explained the public hearing and first and Adoption of <br />reading had been held at the September 26 meeting.
