An IBM PS/2 Model 50Z
would be $3,436.
Total cost of the proposed system for the Parks & Recreation
Department is as follows:
Software: Student Manager by
Aceware Systems $ 995
Hardware: AST Premium Model 145
personal computer 1,915
TOTAL PRICE OF SOFTWARE & HARDWARE $2,910
Refund of amounts paid for
Computoservice Software $1,200
NET PRICE FOR PARKS & RECREATION
REGISTRP-TION SYSTEMS $1,710
At this time it is proposed that $1,710 be transferred from
Contingency to Account 100-4350-703 Recreation Equipment to pay (F,
for this system. Should any balance be left in other budget a
accounts at year end, that would be used instead of Contingency.
The present Parks & Recreation personal computer is planned to be
used for word processing in the Department should the new system
be purchased.
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the purchase o,: "Student Manager"
software from Aceware Systems for $995; an
AST Premium, Model 145 personal computer from
Comput:;service for. $1,915; and the transfer of
$1,710 trom General Fund Contingency to
Account 100-4350-702 Recreation„ Equipment.
DB/DS
