An IBM PS/2 Model 50Z <br />would be $3,436. <br />Total cost of the proposed system for the Parks & Recreation <br />Department is as follows: <br />Software: Student Manager by <br />Aceware Systems $ 995 <br />Hardware: AST Premium Model 145 <br />personal computer 1,915 <br />TOTAL PRICE OF SOFTWARE & HARDWARE $2,910 <br />Refund of amounts paid for <br />Computoservice Software $1,200 <br />NET PRICE FOR PARKS & RECREATION <br />REGISTRP-TION SYSTEMS $1,710 <br />At this time it is proposed that $1,710 be transferred from <br />Contingency to Account 100-4350-703 Recreation Equipment to pay (F�, <br />for this system. Should any balance be left in other budget a� <br />accounts at year end, that would be used instead of Contingency. <br />The present Parks & Recreation personal computer is planned to be <br />used for word processing in the Department should the new system <br />be purchased. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the purchase o,: "Student Manager" <br />software from Aceware Systems for $995; an <br />AST Premium, Model 145 personal computer from <br />Comput:;service for. $1,915; and the transfer of <br />$1,710 trom General Fund Contingency to <br />Account 100-4350-702 Recreation„ Equipment. <br />DB/DS <br />
