IV. DISSEMINATION OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION POLICY AND PLAN <br />A. Internal Dissemination <br />1. A copy of the Affirmative Action Program fo: the / <br />City of Mounds View will be communicated to every <br />department ]lead in the City. <br />2. The Clerk -Administrator will instruct, inform and <br />advise all department heads of the responsibilities <br />of employees in promoting and effectuating the <br />Policy of nor. -discrimination. <br />3. A copy of the Affirmative Action Policy shall be <br />communicated to all employees and become part of the <br />Employee Handbook. <br />4. A copy cf the Affirmative Action Poli-y and other <br />related :nformation shall be posted on departmental <br />bulletin boards for employee reference and <br />distributed to all applicants for employment. <br />5. The Affirmative Action Policy statement shall be <br />included in the City's Personnel Policy. <br />6. Union representatives will be informed of the <br />Affirmativ3 Action Policy. <br />7. Labor agreements between any union, federation, an <br />authorized employee representative in the City may <br />contain a clause attesting to non-discrimination and, <br />equal opportunity as part of the basic for any <br />negotiated settlement. <br />B. External Dissemination <br />1. The Clerk -Administrator will file copies of the <br />Affirmative Action Plan with the Stat? department of <br />Human Rights. <br />2. The Clerk -Administrator will file copies of the <br />City's Affirmative Action Policy with the State <br />Employment Service and such minority handicapped and <br />women's organizations which benefit from open <br />recruitment. <br />3. The City Finance Director shall distribute a <br />statement of the City's commitment to EEO/AA to all <br />vc:.dors acid shall encourage them to follow similar <br />practices. <br />4. The City shall make readily available to minorities, <br />handicapped persons, women and protected class <br />groups the current listing of joh opportunities in <br />the City work force.
