Mounds View City Council U <br />j�4k ��^�N b� August 8, 1988 <br />_-n.i_ i <br />Regular Meeting I i ��� �- '4: ----Page-Five----- <br />Motion/Second: Blanchard/Wuori to approve Resolution <br />No. 2366, ratifying the appointment of elect4on judges <br />for the State primary and general elections, with the <br />addition of Rose Kelner in Precinct 1, and Inga Kelner <br />and Shirley Cinderson in Precinct 4, and waive the <br />reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Public Works Director Minetor reviewed the activities <br />14. Second <br />of the Public Works department for the second quarter. <br />Quarter <br />Department <br />He noted over 204 million gallons of water had been <br />Head <br />pumped during that time. Planned projects for the <br />cleaning, <br />Reports <br />third quarter include a sign inventory, sewer <br />and overlay and <br />Silver Lake Road sewer repair, patching <br />water treatment plant study. <br />Park and Recreation Director Saarion reviewed the <br />activities of the Park, Rec and Forestry department for <br />the second quarter. Seven new programs were offered in <br />the R_e department, and she reviewed the projects accom- <br />plished in the Park department. She also commended <br />everyone involved in the production of "West Side Story" <br />and the Festival in the Park. She added the Festival <br />would be held in September next ysar. <br />�- Finance Director Brager reviewed the activities of the <br />Finance department for the second quarter, with special <br />time spent on insurance renewals and the zip code <br />conversion. He explained revenues are short, while <br />is being used <br />expenses continue on, and the cash reserve <br />to meet expenses until the tax settlements come in. <br />The Finance department will be busy with work on the <br />budget in the third quarter, with a public hearing <br />being scheduled for September 12 at 7:05 PM. <br />Attorney Meyers advised several motions are being made <br />15. Report of <br />Attorney <br />in the Williams Pipeline case, with the pre-trial <br />settlement hearing set for sometime in September. The <br />trial could be anytime between September and February. <br />Attorney Meyers advised he will be out of town for the <br />next meeting, and he will have Ma=k Kerney begin <br />attending the regular meetings and handling more of the <br />day to day matters for the City, while he concentrates <br />on the Williams case. <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. 16.
