<br /> This project was advertised for bid beginning on March 14, 2025, and bids were opened at
<br /> 10:00 a.m. on April 4, 2025. After the bid opening, Stantec reviewed and tabulated the bids.
<br /> Stantec has recommended that Northwest Asphalt of Shakopee, MN with a base bid of
<br /> $892,760.00 as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder be awarded the contract.

<br /> The plans, specifications and bid included three alternates for the reconstruction project.
<br /> Following is the breakdown of the alternates:
<br /> Alternate 1, addition of 6' sidewalk on North side of Bronson Drive between Long Lake Road
<br /> and Edgewood at a cost of $133,985.23
<br /> Alternate 2, addition of sidewalk on Long Lake Road, North of Bronson Drive at a cost of
<br /> $45,944.24.
<br /> Alternate 3, addition of sidewalk on Long Lake Road, South of Bronson Drive at a cost of
<br /> $15,660.11.
<br /> Stantec has provided a fee estimate to provide engineering services for the construction
<br /> phase of this project. Those services include administration assistance, engineering,
<br /> inspection support, surveying and close out for this project. Compensation will be based on
<br /> the actual hours required plus reimbursable expenses for a maximum estimated fee of
<br /> $64,000.00
<br /> American Engineering Testing, Inc. (AET) has provided a fee estimates to provide testing
<br /> engineering services during the construction phase of the project. Compensation will be
<br /> based on the actual hours required plus reimbursable expenses for a maximum estimated
<br /> fee of$32,221.00
<br /> *Costs and pavement design are also based on the American Engineering Testing Inc. (AET)
<br /> geotechnical and pavement evaluation report.
<br /> NOTE: Stantec estimated the project at $1,486,400.50; City Staff estimate was
<br /> $1,297,272,51.
