RESOLUTION NO. 2405 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAXSEY <br />01 STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PLAN FOR DEVELOPING <br />HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBILITY IN THE PARKS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds View is <br />the custodian of all park facilities within the City boundaries; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds 'view <br />desires to provide parks and recreation facilities for the benefit <br />of all. City r�isidents; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View needs to establish a plan <br />to ensure the development of handicapped park facilities for users <br />with disabilities. <br />WHEREAS, three large parks including Greenfield Park, <br />located in the northeaste;•n section of the city; City Hall Park <br />located in the central section of the city; and Silver View Park, <br />located in the southwestern section of the city, are evenly <br />distributed within the city and have good potential for handicapped <br />accessible facilities. <br />WHEREAS, these three parks currently offer or have plans <br />for offering facilities conducive to users with disabilities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of <br />the City of Mounds View approves the designation of Greenfield, City <br />Hall and Silver View Parks as accessible by the disabled; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that future development of <br />facilities in these three designated parks will include handicapped <br />specifications; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these three parks will be <br />specified as handicapped accessible on park location and facility <br />maps; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this plan will be implemented <br />in all future park improvements relative to these three parks which <br />will be designated as handicapped accessible. <br />Adopted this 23rd day of January, 1989. <br />SEAL <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST <br />Clerk -Administrator <br />u <br />
