CONTRACT <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW AND SUPER CYCLE, INC. <br />FOR RECYCLING SERVICES <br />This Agreement is made this day of <br />1989, between the City of Mounds View ereinafter City and <br />Super Cycle, Inc. (here inafter'Contractor)I <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the City supports curbside recycling and desires <br />that is be available to its residents, and <br />WHEREAS, the City supports curbside recycling as part of an <br />overall landfill abatement program, and <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has funding available for curbside <br />recycling, and <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor has submitted a proposal for <br />curbside recycling to the City, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City and Contractor mutually agree as <br />follows in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants <br />contained herein: <br />1. DEFINITIONS <br />a) "Service Area" means the area of the City included <br />within the boundaries of attached map. <br />b) "Recyclable Materials" means newsprint, cardboard, <br />corrioated cardboard glass, mixed aluminum and bimetal <br />beverage containe_s, other aluminum, tin food cans and <br />other materials as mutually agreed upon by the City <br />and the Contractor. <br />c) "Recycling Collection" means the taking up of all <br />recyclable materials accumulated at residential <br />properties (including multi -unit dwellings, apartments <br />up to 17 units, and mobile homes) and the transporting <br />of the recyclable materials to a specified processing <br />site or market. <br />2. PAYMENT <br />a) The City will compensate the Contractor for the <br />collection of recyclable materials from residential <br />units as described in Section 3. <br />® b) The City shall reimburse the Contractor for once -a - <br />month collection, $1,933 per month, and for j <br />twice -a -month collection, $3,480 per month. T11e City <br />will be going to twice -a -month collection in April, <br />1989. <br />
