ON <br />MEMO TO: MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS <br />f FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR <br />PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br />DATE: APRIL 7, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR APPROVAL TO HIRE FOUR <br />SEASONAL PARK GROUNDSKEEPERS <br />In the adopted 1989 budget is monies for the employment of four <br />parks groundskeepers. <br />I have interviewed a number Ot applica+:t� and have selected these <br />four on the basis of their interest in athletics, knowledge of <br />the requirements for well-groomed athletic fields, concern for <br />players safety and well-•bef.ng and their general concern for well - <br />maintained parks. All four applicants are college students thus <br />falling under the 100 hours available for compliance to state <br />statutes. These four employees would have as their work priority <br />the daily grooming of athletic field„ trash removal, mowing and <br />j' weeding and other tasks if time allows. <br />The hourly wage for all four employees will be $5.50 per hour. <br />The four finalists are: <br />Allen Miskowiec <br />William Sjulstad <br />Darin Hillstrom <br />Richard Ramacher <br />RECOMMENDATION: To approve the employment of four park <br />groundskeepers including Allen Miskowiec, William Sjuiscad, Darin <br />Hillstrom and Richard Ramacher for a wage of $5.50 per hour not <br />to exceed the $12,328.00 budgeted in fund 100-4360-020-000. <br />MS/SL <br />L <br />
