Report of;� <br />Attorney <br />Park and Rec Director Saarion reported the City of 16. Report of <br />Mounds View is hosting the second annual Snow Staff <br />Spectacular February 11 ar.d 12, and she reviewed Members <br />the various activities that would be going on, and <br />she urged everyone to come out and have fun. <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. 17. Reports of <br />Councilmembers: <br />Councilmember <br />Quick <br />Ccuncilmember Blanchard reported she would be Councilmember <br />attending the Fire Department benefits meeting Blanchard <br />the evening of January 25. <br />Councilmember Wuori urged the citizens to write Councilmember <br />letters to the County Board and Library Board Wuori <br />members to encourage them to move on purchasing <br />property in Mounds View. <br />Mayor Hankner noted the number of illiterate Mayor Hankp <br />people in the state is high, and people need access <br />to a library to help themselves. _ <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley suggested Councilmember <br />Wuori could convey the Council's concern to the <br />Pinevood PTA. <br />Mayor H: ikner reperted she had received a notice <br />oe; a public forum for light rail transit in Ramsey <br />County, and asked that the dates be listed nn the <br />cable channel. <br />Mayor Hankner reported there are vacancies or. the <br />Park and Rec Commission and Environmental Quality <br />Task Force, and they need to find people who are <br />willing to serve. <br />Mayor Hankner reported she was recently told by <br />an applicant for the Charter Commission that they <br />had heard back from the Judge who advised that a <br />resume was needed, and she expressed concern that <br />the Judge is looking for specific experience and <br />qualifications without even having a talk with <br />the Council. Mayor Hankner questioned the statu- <br />tory provisions on the Charter Commission and <br />appointments to it. ' <br />
