Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Councilmember Quick requested the wording be changed <br />to eliminate the phrase "using a fence or other <br />structure which", and changing "allows" to "allowing" <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Paone to have the second read- <br />ng a2ion of Ordinance No. 468, as amended, <br />amending the Municipal Code of f•;oa,ads liew by amend- <br />ing Chapter 104 entitled "Garbage and Rubbish", and <br />waive the reading. <br />Councilmember Paone - aye <br />Councilmember Quick - aye <br />Councilmember Blanchard - aye <br />Councilmember Wuori - ayc <br />Mayor 8ankner - aye <br />July 100 1989 <br />Page Seven <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported a $2,212.77 loss 14. <br />had been experienced from the spring clean up day, <br />and he reviewed what was taken in in waste, which <br />was an all time record. <br />Motion/Second: Wuor_/Blanchard to authorize <br />payment of $2,212.77 for the spring clean up day, <br />to come from the contingency fund. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley explained that he has one <br />further item to bring to the Council's attention <br />later on the agenda that will call for a payment <br />from the contingency fund, which will then leave a <br />fund balance of approximately $28,000. <br />Motion/Second: Paone/Blanchard to have a fall <br />c eaT n up 7ay on September 30 and set aside $7,500 <br />from the contingency fund. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported Staff has pre— <br />pared a resol.ccion for the policy of mowing on. <br />private property, and he reviewed the policy <br />statement, procedures and fees. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Wuwori to approve Resolution <br />No. 2— 4�9, establishing policy, procedures and fees <br />for the municipal mowing of weeds and tall grasses, <br />and waive the reading. <br />Motion Carried <br />Consideration <br />of Staff Memo <br />Concerning <br />1989 Spring <br />Clean Up Day <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />15.
