Mounds View City Council Regular Meeting Attorney Karney had no report. July 10, 1989 Page Twelve 29 Mr. Minetor advised that the engineering firm for the Mounds View Business Park South is getting ready 30. to advertise for bids on the project and due to time constraints, they will be advertising for the wetlands alteration improvements and Woodale extension. However, it will be clearly stated that those two items may be deleted. Mr. Minetor advised there have been some major pro- blems with the water system. Water Demand has been very high, and over 6.5 million gallons were pumped over the weekend. Problems have been experienced with discoloration of the water and they are doing what they can but cannot solve it completely. Mr. Minetor advised street patching will begin this week. Councilmember Paone advised the Council mtt at 6:30 31. this evening with the Lions Club concerning their donation for a shelter building. They need Council approval in order to get going on it. iiayor Hankner reminded the Council a commitment was made at the last Council meeting to set a time and coordinate schedules between the residents, Council and Lions Club. It was agreed to send notices to the residents and discuss further at the July 17 agenda session. Councilmember Quick had no report. Motion/Second: Blanchard/Paone to approve the first rea ing Ordinance No. 470,adopting the 1989 long term financial plan, and waive the reading. 5 ayes 0 nays Councilmember Blanchard had no report. Councilmember Wuori reported the Mounds View Community Theatre would be holding a garage sale this weekend, at Mounds Viev Square. The production "Sound of Music" will be held the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August.
