RESOLUTION NO. 263-89 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF THE REQUESTED MODIFICATION <br />TO THE MORITORIUM DISTRICT TO ALLOW THE ADDITION OF A <br />FREE-STANDING SIGN AT MID-AMERICAN AUTO LOCATED AT <br />2975 HIGHWAY 10, PLANNING CASE NO. 275-89 <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed <br />the modification request of Mr. Kevin Mullin, Mid -American Auto, <br />to allow the erection of a free-standiny sign on the property <br />located at 2975 Highway 10, legally described as the east 166 <br />feet of part northeasterly of highway of Lot 13 and Subdivision <br />No. 89, St. Paul, Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the <br />moratorium disrict and the appeal provision outlined in Ordinance <br />No. 466, and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that the <br />applicant has not demonstrated a hardship; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that the <br />situation is not unique to this property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that the <br />proposed sign meets the sign requirements outlined in Chapter 39 <br />of the City Code (Sign Ordinance); and <br />WHEREAS, the property is located within the moritorium <br />district on Highway 10; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recalled that the <br />moritorium district is a temporary ordinance scheduled to be <br />lifted at the end of April, 1990. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, 8E IT RESOLVED that the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Mounds View recommends to the City <br />Council denial of the requested modification to the moritorium <br />Ordinance No. 466. <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) <br />Adopted this 6th day of September, 1989. <br />Chairman <br />City Planner <br />12 <br />0 <br />
