MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW AND <br />4 FOR OUTLINING THE DUTIES OF THE <br />CrIYS PART-TIME ATHLETIC COORDINATOR <br />The following memorandum of understanding is hereby entered into between the City <br />of Mounds View and to perform and provide the services <br />of a part-time athletic coordinator which will include, but not be limited to, the <br />following scope and parameters: <br />The primary objective of the part-time athletic coordinator will be to organize, direct <br />implement, and coordinate the Citys athletic program for both adults and children. <br />The major areas of accountability for <br />will be as follows: <br />1. Responsible for the hiring, supervision and evaluation of all athletic personnel <br />including referees, umpires, instructors, and other related athletic employees. <br />2. Responsible for planning and marketing opportunities for athletic leagues, <br />instructional programs and tournaments for the participation of community <br />members and others. <br />3. Responsible for the preparation of schedules for all the adult and youth leagues. <br />I This includes scheduling athletic facilities and ensuring that provisions are made <br />for the preparation of each play facility. <br />4. Responsible for preparation of all time sheets, resumes, applications, and other <br />written materials as requested by the Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry. <br />5. Responsible for establishing and carrying out a quarterly in-house training <br />program for all letic NYSctors tCAncelude, but not be limited to rules, <br />rtification of volunteer youth coaches <br />regulations, safety <br />procedures, <br />and review the general athletic philosophy. <br />6. Responsible for coordinating with related agencies including, but not limited to <br />municipal recreation departments, NYSCA, USSSA, local MRPA and community <br />groups, civic organizations and local businesses. <br />7. Direct and coordinate the preparation of a year-round athletic program which <br />will be mailed to all City residents promoting athletic opportunities available <br />through -out the city. <br />g. Oversee a variety of public relations activities designed to make the most <br />effective use of available promotional possibilities through local media, flyers, <br />school announcements, letter correspondence, etc. <br />9. Coordinate and control facility usage for the City athletic facilities. <br />
