MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: CLERK-ADMINISTRATO <br />DATE: OCTOBER 2, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: ANOKA COUNTY-BLAINE AIRPORT CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENTS ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW PROCESS <br />Attached please find a letter this office received from <br />Nigel D. Finney, Deputy Executive Director -Planning and <br />Environment of the Metropolitan Airports Commission <br />regarding an assessment of environmental effects relating to <br />construction projects at the Anoka County -Blaine Airport. <br />Mr. Finney provides us with a copy of the assessment and <br />advises us that a hearing will be held on the evening of <br />October 17, 1989 at the Metropolitan Airports Commission <br />General Offices. As you may recall, the City Council has <br />previously taken the position of having no objection to the <br />capital improvements proposed by the Commission during the <br />Metropolitan Council's review. <br />Staff would request any Council comments <br />like to have directed to the Commission <br />environmental effects of these proposed <br />improvements. <br />DFP/MJS <br />which you would <br />regarding the <br />capital <br />
