TO: Mayor & Council <br />FROM: Don Brager, Finance Director -Treasurer It <br />DATE: October 17, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT UTILITY BILLS <br />A hearing has been set for 7:10 p.m. to consider certification of <br />delinquent utility bills to Ramsey County for collection with <br />1990 property taxes. Letters were sent to those customers <br />advising of the hearing. Since the letters were mailed, three of <br />the six accounts that were being considered for certification <br />have been paid in full. Three accounts ramain to be certified. <br />As of this date staff has not heard from these customers. Two of <br />the houses are vacant and one is sewer service only. Attached is <br />a resolution certifying these accounts for your consideration. <br />RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2551 LEVYING A TAX FOR <br />DELINQUENT UTILITY CHARGES OVER A ONE YEAR PERIOD. <br />DB/DS <br />Attachment <br />
