MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
PAGE TWO
OCTOBER 26, 1989
the issue of a community center. This committee
included members of the City Council, Parks and
Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, and
general citizenry, particularly individuals from the
general public who would be using the facilities.
4. Survey -• Every one of the cities previously mentioned
used Decision Resources Ltd. as the agency to perform
a survey within their community on a community
center. Attached for your information is a copy of
the Maple Grove survey which Dr. Morris of Decision
Resources felt was the best example of the kind of
survey being done in the metropolitan area on this
subject matter. You will note that the survey
includes questions regarding the desire for a
community center, the types of facilities and
services desired in a community center, and the
willingness of the surveyed individual to pay
additional property taxes for the community center.
. I hope that the above information adequately responds to
many of the questions and concerns you might have regarding
this matter. If not, I will be happy to provide whatever
other information is necessary upon your request.
DFP/MJS
Attachment(s):
