Arts and crafts room for class and instructional programs. <br />b. Gymnasium <br />C. Sauna and whirlpool <br />d. Senior Citizen Center for drop -in and organized activities. <br />e. Teen Center for drop -in, and organized activities. <br />f. Nursery school/daycare area <br />g. Large community room for banquets, parties and other rental <br />purposes. <br />h. Small community rooms for organization meetings. <br />7. If a community center contained the features you r.ost favcred, <br />how much more likely would you be tc support its construction? <br />Narrative relating that no decisi.cns have been made and that only <br />discussions are occurring at this time. A bond issue requiring voter <br />approval would be necessary to fund construction of a community cneter <br />with the bonds being paid for by increased property taxes. If a <br />community center cost s3 million it would result in an increase in <br />property taxes on an average $80,000 home by about $_ her year for <br />years. <br />6. Would you favor or oppose that bond referendum? <br />9. The City might be able to identify other funds to reduce the <br />cost to the taxpayers. How much would you be willing to pay in <br />additional property taxes? <br />If a community center were built, the City could subsidize its operation <br />with tax revenue and keep user fees low or increase fees to make the <br />facility more self-sufficient. <br />10. Should the City subsidize the cost of Operations to keep fees <br />low or increase fees? <br />11. How likely would you be to use a nursery school program if <br />provided? <br />12. Should the City priority be the building of a community <br />center, improvement and expansion of existing parks and <br />recreational facilities, or both? <br />
