MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: CLERK-ADMINISTRATO <br />DATE: NOVEMBER 17, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: TRUCK TRAFFIC <br />Recently I received a telephone call. from <br />Mr- Spencer <br />Swanson, 2505 County Road H, regarding <br />the ngestion <br />created by semi trucks using the Highway 10/County Road H <br />/Old Highway 8 intersection. Mr. Swanson indicated to me <br />that he felt the presence of these trucks, particularly <br />during the morning and evening rush hours, were creating a <br />significant traffic hazard and that through the cooperative <br />use of alternate routes such as Highway 96, the trucking <br />operators in the Mounds View Industrial Park could alleviate <br />intersection, while at the same time <br />congestion at this <br />ent access to 35W and Trunk Highway 10. <br />still having conveni <br />I discussed Mr. Swanson's phone call with Mr. Dan Solar, <br />Ramsey County Traffic Engineer, and Ric Minetor and both <br />agreed that there is little or nothing that the City or. <br />County can do to prevent <br />ordiscour <br />trucksage the use of h <br />due the fact that <br />intersection by sr <br />these are all public highways and roads.
